Genesis

And Ioseph was carried down into Aigyptos. And Petephres, the eunuch of [the] Pharao, the chief guard, an Aigyptios, acquired him from out of [the] hands of the Ismaélites, the ones that led him there.

And [the] lord was with Ioseph. And he was an obtaining man. And he was in the house beside his lord, the Aigyptios.

And his lord saw that the lord was with him. And whatever as much as he should do, [the] lord prospered the way in his hands.

And Ioseph found favor before his lord. And he was well-pleasing to him. And he placed him over his house. And all as much as was his, he gave through [the] hand of Ioseph.

And it came to pass after placing him over his house, and over all as much as was his, that [the] lord blessed the house of the Aigyptios through Ioseph. And he became a blessing for [his] lord in all his possessions in the house, and in his field.

And he entrusted all as much as was his into [the] hand of Ioseph. And he did not know about his own [things], not one [thing], except the bread which he ate. And Ioseph was good to the sight, and exceedingly beautiful in countenance.

And it came to pass after these words that the wife of his lord placed her eyes upon Ioseph, and said: "Sleep with me".

But he [was] not willing. And he said to the wife of his lord: "If my lord [does] not know because of me one thing in his house, and he gave into my hands all as much as is his,

and not one [thing] in this house exists outside of me, nor [is] one [thing ] secretly removed from me, except you, through you being his wife, then how should I do this wicked thing, and sin before the Theos?"

And when she spoke [to] Ioseph day by day, he hearkened not to her to sleep with her, to be intimate with her.

But it came to pass on a certain day, [that] Ioseph entered into the house to do his works, and no one in the house [-hold] was inside.

And she drew him by [his] clothes, saying: "Sleep with me." And leaving behind his clothes in her hands, he fled, and went forth outside.

And it came to pass as she saw that [him] leaving behind his clothes in her hands, and he fled, and went forth outside,

that she called the [ones] being in the house [-hold], and said to them, saying: "See: he brought in to us servant of [the] Ebraion to mock us. He entered towards me, saying: 'Sleep with me.' And I cried out with a great voice.

And in his hearing that my voice was raised and I cried out, leaving behind his clothes with me, he fled, and went forth outside."

And she left the clothes by her, until the lord came into his house.

And she spoke to him according to these words, saying: "The servant of [the] Ebraion, whom you brought in towards us, entered towards me to mock me. And he said to me: 'I will sleep with you.'

But as he heard that I raised my voice and cried out, leaving behind his clothes with me, he fled and went forth outside."

And it came to pass as his lord heard the words of his wife, as much as she spoke to him, saying [that] thus did your servant to me, that he was enraged [with] anger.

And the lord taking Ioseph, and put him into the dungeon, into the place in which the prisoners of the king were held, there in the dungeon.

And [the] lord was with Ioseph, and poured down mercy upon him. And he gave to him favor before the chief jailer.

And the chief jailer gave the jail through [the] hand of Ioseph, and all [ones] being taken away, as many as [were] in the jail. And all as much as they do there, he was doing [this].

Through him, the chief jailer was not knowing [anything], not one [thing], for all was through [the] hand of Ioseph, through the lord being with him. And as much as he did, [the] lord prospered the way in his hands.
