Wilhelm Reich was an Austrian psychoanalyst who discovered how to concentrate life energy through a mixture of organic and metalite materials, which he called "Orgonite." He developed the concept of "orgone energy," a universal life force. His orgone accumulator devices were intended to improve health. His work was suppressed by the FDA, and he died in federal prison.
