Heraclitus was a pre-Socratic philosopher from ancient Greece known for his doctrine of change being central to the universe. He spoke the famous Greek words "Panta Rhei," meaning "everything flows." He believed that fire was the primordial element and that the universe is in a constant state of flux, with opposites being necessary for the existence of each other.
